0851. Funerary inscription

Description: Triangular-headed stele (w: 0.50 x h: 1.22 x d: 0.23) of grey limestone; in the triangle, a marigold within a circular recess; below it, two recessed panels, the upper containing a wreath in relief.
Text: Inscribed within the lower recessed panel (die, w: 0.25 x h: 0.28).
Letters: Irregular capitals: 0.04.

Date: First-third centuries CE (lettering)

Findspot: Coastal Belt: Wadi Caam; Found about 1 km. away in the direction of Zliten, along the new road (map ref. M 665217).
Original location: Unknown
Last recorded location: Sabratha Museum.
