Description: Two joining fragments of a moulded marble base, the mouldings of which have been trimmed flush; a: Left hand side, w: 0.21 x h: 1.05 x d: 0.53; b: Lower right corner, w: 0.30 x h: 0.53 x d: 0.60.

Letters: Fourth century CE. capitals: 0.04-0.05.

Leontius [---] took charge [of its erection]

To...of military...from his earliest (?) years...man of wonderful (?) justice and total (?) honesty, Laenatius Romulus, of perfectissimus rank, governor (praeses); the council (ordo) and people (plebs) of Sabratha [set up] this statue to their most worthy patron, with Pompeius Leontius, of perfectissimus rank, curator rei publicae, overseeing the work.
