(i): In Christ. In this tomb lies the body of [ ?of good memory . . . he passed from this] world in the year six thousand, 400 [and ninety]eight, third indiction [ . . . ] day 4 in the month October. May he have rest eternal.

(ii): I will hope [in you Lord] that I may not be confounded for eternity. In your justice liberate me and rescue me, my God and my Lord and my Saviour. Pray for me that I may have God as my protector in the day of judgement. Amen, Amen, Amen.
