Description: Rectangular base of marble (w: 0.68 x h: 1.04 x d: 0.70).
Text: Inscribed on one face, lines 1-13 within a moulded panel (die, w: 0.44 x h: 0.79); line 14 is cut on the lower moulding, and there was very probably a line on the upper moulding.
Letters: Late form of Rustic capitals: 0.03-0.04.

To a man who was, in one and the same year, a duumvir of the Lepcimagnensians and priest of the province of Tripolitania, a most innocent man, an irreproachable leader of the city, lover of his country and of his fellow-citizens, Titus Flavius Vibianus, excellent man (of equestrian status), perpetual flamen (priest), priest of the Laurentes of Lavinas and priest of the Mother of the Gods, prefect of all sacred matters, on account of his presentation of a great variety of delights including ten Lybian beasts; (scil. honoured) in accordance with a vote of the People and a decree of the city council.

In un solo anno duoviro di Leptis Magna e insieme sacerdote della Prouincia di Tripolitania, uomo innocentissimo, principalis integerrimo, amante della patria e dei suoi con concittadini; a Titus Flavius Vibianus uomo perfettissimo, flamine perpetuo e pontefice, curatore della repubblica di Leptis Magna, sacerdote Laurentium Lavinatium e sacerdote della Madre degli Dei, prefetto di tutte le cose sacre, per gli svariati spettacoli e (per l’esibizione) di dieci fiere libiche. Per suffragio del popolo e decreto dell’ordine.

Statue of Heraclius. In the same year duovir of Lepcis Magna and priest of the province of Tripolitania, a most blameless man, a most honest principalis, a lover of his fatherland and of his fellow-citizens, Titus Flavius Vibianus, of perfectissimus rank, perpetual flamen and pontifex, curator of the community (res publica) of Lepcis Magna, priest of the Laurentes Lavinates, priest of the Mother of the gods, prefect of all sacred things. On account of the display of various delights and of ten Libyan beasts, by acclamation of the people and by decree of the council (ordo) [this was set up]
